Owns the Renaissance Las Vegas Hotel (548 rooms and 30 suites, opened in 2004). The Renaissance is operated by Interstate Hotels under license from Marriott International, Inc. Founded in 1969, Jackson-Shaw is based in Dallas, TX. Lewis Shaw II is chairman and CEO.

Opening a Mandarin Oriental hotel (400 rooms, 2009) in MGM MIRAGE's Project CityCenter. The hotel will be managed by Mandarin Oriental International Ltd. but owned by MGM Mirage.

Asia's Jardine Matheson owns about 75% of its luxury hotel arm Mandarin Oriental International Limited (mandarinoriental.com , Hoover's profile). Named for its flagship hotel, the Mandarin Oriental in Hong Kong, the company is based in Hong Kong, incorporated in Bermuda, and operates as Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group.

Jardine Matheson is one of the oldest hongs (trading companies) of Hong Kong. Co-founded by William Jardine (1784-1843), a British sailor and merchant, the company (Hong Kong's largest private employer) is controlled by his descendants, the Keswick family.
